Concern Worldwide is a non-governmental, international, humanitarian organisation dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world's poorest countries. The agency is a member of Alliance 2015 and the MAKE POVERTY HISTORY coalition. Our mission is to improve the living standards of people who cannot meet their basic needs by strengthening capacity to meet these needs and responding to emergency situations where necessary.


Concern Worldwide Uganda is currently running WATSAN and Livelihoods projects in Pader, and is now recruiting a Programme Manager, to lead these projects.


Job Summary:
Managing the water supply and sanitation and livelihoods projects, in line with the project proposals; and ensuring that they are implemented effectively so that they realize their objectives.
He/she will report to the Assistant Country Director -Programmes, Kampala
Applications are invited from candidates with the following skills and experience:
Essential:
*Degree, ideally in a Development related field
* Minimum of 4 years experience in an NGO or similar organization, preferably with experience of working with LNGO partners and with local government
* Leadership skills and ability to motivate
* Ability to work independently in a challenging environment
*Interpersonal and communication skills
* Organisational and time management skills
* Financial understanding
* Fluent in English with good writing skills
*Computer literate (MS Word and MS Excel)



Duration: 2 year contract
