Human Resources and Administration Manager: Reg 10361BR

This is an autonomous position that is part of the Senior Management team of TOTAL E&P Uganda (TEPU). The job
holder will be responsible for the management of all Human Resources Development aspects in a multicultural
environment in order to facilitate the achievement of the Company’s business objectives.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a full and efficient HR management in TEPU:
  1. Employee sourcing and recruitment strategy
  2. Employees career and development
  • Performance management
  1. Compensation and benefits: managing the full range of compensation processes and ensures accurate
    monthly payroll processing
  2. Expatriate Management
  • Determine appropriate HR policy and strategy to support business objectives
  • Guarantee that company work procedures and processes are in line with local labour laws and regulations and
    Total Group business ethics and policies
  • Management of the General services team, office accommodation, office services and expatriate
    Ensuring that actual operating standards and safety procedures and guidelines are in
    accordance with company policies and standards
  • Prepare, direct, coordinate, control and optimize the department budget

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum qualification ;Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management
  • Proffessional qualification from institutions such as Chartered Institute of Personnel Development is an added
    advantage
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a similar position
  • Clear understanding of Ugandan employment regulations and labour laws
  • Good communication, analytical, Interpersonal and organization skills, efficiency and confidentiality
  • Open minded and dynamic disposition
  • Ability to manage a team and set up networks
