The Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) is one of the three successor companies of the Uganda Electricity Board (UEB). Their mandate is ownership of the electricity distribution assets in Uganda. UEDCL is seeking to hire qualified persons to fill the following positions:

Job Position: ESTATES OFFICER

Report to: Principal Human Resource and Administrative Officer

Supervises: Maintenance

Duty Station: Head Office

Purpose of the Job: To Manage and Maintain UEDCL property as per company standards and regulations.

Key Result Areas:

1. Maintaining all equipment and ensuring that they are in good working condition.
2. Follow up payment of rent and utilities to ensure timely payments.
3. Maintaining a safe, Healthy and clean environment at all times.
4. Supervising of repairs on the building so as to ensure that the required materials are used in conformity with the required standard.
5. Checking for leakages in the plumbing system and making arrangements for the plumbers to- repair any damages.
6. Checking the electricity network of the premises and making arrangements with the electrician to come and repair any faults.
7. Allocation of Parking slots for the tenants.
8. Overseeing and maintaining security on the building at all times.
9. Attend to all customer queries and complaints related to the building.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• A Bachelors’ degree Business Administration or B.Com
• A minimum of 3 years working experience in a related field in a recognized organization
• Computer Knowledge in Microsoft office
• Proven Track record of Integrity & Work ethics, committed team player who is result oriented
