BRAC Uganda invites applications from qualified Ugandan Nationals to fill up the following vacant positions:

Job Title: Area Coordinator (Agriculture) Females are encouraged to apply

Job Location: Any part of Uganda (BRAC Operational Areas) but require extensive field visit for monitoring, supervision and staff development

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify the local cropping patterns.
• Final selection of Model farmers, Community agriculture promoters, General farmers and Block farmers.
• Prepare the training module considering local cropping patterns, irrigation, seed rate, local pests and control methods.
• Regularly visit the Branch office as well as farmers’ fields and advise them on good practices for better productivity.
• Coordination with the local government, non government organization and other development partners under his/ her jurisdiction.
• Prepare monthly action plan for Project Assistants (Agriculture) and regular follow up the progress of activities.
• Prepare the report, consolidate and send to the Regional/ Country office.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelors of Science in Agriculture/ Crop Science.
• Minimum 1year working experience in the field of Agriculture
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Riding a Motorcycle is a must with a valid permit license
• Age must be within 30 years
